Fern was the beautiful and precious daughter of Jeff William Chenoweth and Melvia Willie Hensley Chenoweth of Healing Springs, Arkansas.

She was the third child of seven, Fern had five Sisters and one Brother ~ Reba Estell (Hamilton), Edgar Mike, Grace Johnie (Leach), Lillian Lucille (Holland), Eunice Margaret (Bolin), and Clide Maxine (Owens Martin).

Fern was the Granddaughter of John King and Margaret Jane St. John Chenoweth and Baxter and Mary Elizabeth Tate Hensley.

She was born July 4, 1910 and passed away February 18, 1929 of pneumonia at their home in Healing Springs. She was 18 years old. The night Aunt Fern died, she told her Mommy to go get her little sister Clide, she wanted to kiss and hug her, Granny said, "Clide's asleep", she said ,"wake her up I want to tell her I Love her and good-bye", she died a few hours later. Mommy was only 4 1/2 years old when her sister Fern went to live with Jesus. Granny said, they were with Aunt Fern when she died, Fern talk about seeing a light and a Angel coming to her. After our Aunt Fern passed away, Granny told PawPaw she just couldn't live in that house anymore, it was to painful, so they tore the old Chenoweth Homestead house down and built a new home, and that was the farm house we were raised in.

It will be the little things that you will remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter. And although it may seem hard right now, it will be the memories of these little things that help to push away the pain and bring the smiles back again. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal...love leaves a Memory no one can steal.
